Alden Cudanin, Honoured Class of 1995, truly exemplifies what it means to stay rooted in community. As this year’s Alumni of the Year, Alden is recognized not only for his leadership and service but also for the meaningful ways he continues to invest in the school—as a proud alumnus, a committed volunteer, and a dedicated parent of current students in the elementary, junior high, and high school divisions.
Alden has long been a familiar and trusted presence on campus. As Vice-President of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) in 2019-2021; then President in the 2021-2023 term, he played a key role in fostering strong partnerships between families and the school even when finding ourselves in the midst of a worldwide pandemic.
His work on the Board of Directors and the Development Committee reflects his strategic vision and long-term commitment to helping the school grow and thrive. Whether he’s supporting fundraising efforts or advocating for new initiatives, Alden brings a thoughtful and collaborative approach to every role he takes on.
Alden, and Class of 1995 classmate, Meredith Palafox Cudanin, are one of numerous high school couples who have married and started families together. This November will mark their 20th wedding anniversary.
Beyond the boardroom, Alden is deeply involved in student life—as the Junior High Omega Coach, he mentors young athletes with the same passion, integrity, and encouragement he once experienced as a student himself. His impact is felt both on and off the field, where he models the values of sportsmanship, leadership, and character.
What makes Alden’s contributions especially meaningful is the perspective he brings as a parent of three children currently enrolled across the school’s divisions. His daily presence in the community reflects his deep belief in the mission of the school and the importance of shaping future generations with the same care and excellence he received.
Alden Cudanin is a shining example of the lifelong connection that alumni share with their alma mater. His continued service, generosity of spirit, and personal investment in the school’s present and future make him a truly deserving recipient of this honor.
